We are nearing completion of the first phase of Wen-Ying Tsai’s archive in downtown Manhattan. Over the last year, the Foundation has been working with archivist Mimi Bowling who is putting together an initial finding aid. Our initiative began towards the end of 2013 when we had the opportunity to work with Cécile Hugelé, an expert in the field. Together we envisioned constructing an organized structure that will permit researchers to find the materials they are looking for. We now project that by Fall 2016 there will be fully equipped facilities for dedicated scholars to work in relative peace and quiet in our SoHo offices.
If you are an art historian or scholar researching Tsai’s contributions to kinetic or cybernetic art, please feel free to contact us for more information.
